What travelers say about Emmanuel

I had an absolutely amazing experience climbing Kilimanjaro. Extremely knowledgeable and professional guides who could tell us all about the geography, geology and history of the country and Kilimanjaro region. Jeremiah was our team chef who cooked wonderful food throughout. With their expertise me and my friend managed to summit and more importantly come back down safely. If you want to climb Kilimanjaro this is the team for you.

I liked how there was someone to talk to who was in the UK and was able to advise on the trip. I had a fantastic experience and everything was taken care of from the moment I landed in Tanzania. The hotel was nice and the tour guide was amazing, as was the entire team during the whole experience. This was definitely one of the best experiences of my life and I will definitely be booking more trips with call to adventure! The Kilimanjaro trek was amazing, all I had to do was turn up with my kit, I was pleasantly surprised by how easy the whole thing was, I usually have terrible experiences booking things but I can honestly say the whole thing was seamless, everything went to plan and I had no issues at all! Thank you for helping me to achieve a life goal!

Is the Kili + Safari 10d Challenge Right For You?

Discover if this adventure is right for you

Physical Challenge

Everyday RamblerMountain Goat

The Kilimanjaro trek is physically demanding but no technical climbing is required. The safari days are relaxed - you will be driven. Good general fitness with hill walking experience is ideal.

Experience Required

First-TimerSeasoned Trekker

No mountaineering experience needed. If you can walk for 6-8 hours on hilly terrain, you have what it takes. Our guides handle everything else.

Comfort Level

Basic CampingSafari Lodge Luxury

Mountain camping is comfortable but basic - spacious tents, hot meals, and private toilet tent. The safari portion stays at a proper lodge with ensuite rooms.

How to Prepare
The Kilimanjaro section requires a good level of general fitness. Start training 12-16 weeks before departure with long hillwalks (6-8 hours) carrying a small daypack. Build up to back-to-back days on your feet. Stairs with a weighted pack are excellent prep. The safari days afterwards are relaxed - you will be driven in a private 4x4 with pop-up roof, so no fitness needed for that part. We will send a full training plan and kit list when you book.

Can I really do both Kilimanjaro and a safari?

Absolutely - and it is actually the smartest way to experience Tanzania. The Lemosho route gives you 7 days of gradual acclimatisation with a 98% summit success rate. After your descent, you spend a recovery night in a comfortable Moshi hotel before your safari begins. By that point the hard work is done - the safari is pure reward.

Our expert guides monitor your health twice daily with pulse oximeters, carry emergency oxygen on every climb, and set the famous 'pole pole' (slowly, slowly) pace. You will be looked after from arrival to departure.

One team, one seamless handoff
Your Kilimanjaro crew and safari guide are all part of the same local team. After your descent, the handoff from trek to safari is seamless - no airport transfers, no third-party coordination, no stress. Just swap your hiking boots for binoculars.
